Crossing is a dystopian western animated film that provides one answer to the question "Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road?"
I used a Blender to Unreal engine production workflow and I submitted it last semester for my final project for Animation Production course at Berkeley City College. 'Fly' the Chicken and wagon were modeled in Blender and rigged and animated in Unreal Engine using sequencer. Dust toon looking effects were done using Blueprints in Unreal Engine. I also created the cornbread sign and the no chicken allowed posters in Adobe. Lighting and color palette were selected to emulate stylistic/painterly effect and "Looney" toon look. Title card created in After Effects.
Not responsible for creation of the sets, sound, and the other animal characters and animations. The Peasant Man who hates chickens is a mixamo character. Post was done in Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Whatever It Takes is a comedy film project that took two semesters. I was responsible for production planning including writing the script which went through two revisions, storyboarding, script breakdown, overheads, working with the AD on call sheets, location scouting, costume design, and setting up virtual environments. Green screen used for shots inside the store. Title card created in After Effects. I also created a physical prop for video drop box using cardboard, straws, pipe cleaners, and spray paint.
Sound and sequence editing done in Premiere Pro and After Effects. Shot on a Canon DSLR Rebel T7.
Submitted for Rookies Rewards Competition 2024.
Responsibilities included developing initial story and character concepts using Metahumans (acted out using Mocap by my co-producer and director Dorothy Abuan), doing layout of megascans to build environments, performing previsualization of camera movements, and managing pipeline and project organization using Github. In addition, I did modeling and texturing of the medal prop as well as music sourcing. Some AI images were used primarily as references for mood and feel of the story.
Rendered in Unreal Engine using Lumen.
